There is this guy I really want to talk to, but I'm nervous because he is the most popular guy in school and I don't know what to say. What should I do?

Dear Social,

you should talk to him! Don't just sit there and do nothing. I'm not saying you should immediately ask him out because that might scare him away, but you might want to make friends with him. A good way to get close to someone you like is to be nice to them. Be yourself around him because if you don't you might seem like your trying to hard. Don't try to ask him to much about himself at first because you might sound like a stalker, just start with saying hi, or asking him when a project is due. After you have talked to him he will think that you might be fun to hang out with. Try to show him that you are worth talking to. Make a joke or talk about something you have in common. Just because he is the most "popular guy in school" doesn't mean he any different from any of the other guys. Remember, if he doesn't like you for you then you should find someone better.
